KWOBRUP (YELLANUP)SCHOOL UPDATED in 1912 a letter was sent from Donald Sclater asking for an application for a school. The railway opened in 1912. A year later there were letters regarding a portable school and possible site. North of the Railway Line and near the west side of the Kwobrup Reserve area. Children listed at that time were: Painter 3, Biltoff 2 and Philp 2. In 1913 a lot had changed. Hinkleys gone to Gnowangerup, Reeves have no children, McQuillen gone to Albany, Smths,Mills, Francis and Wegg left the district. Philp, Biltoff and Archer too far away In 1914 it was decided to use the local hall. Progress Association Hall was weatherboard with iron roof and lean-too. It was purchased by the hobart family for 40 pounds and used as their family home. Kwobrup School opened on 14th July 1914 and closed on 20th April 1923.
